Starting all 11 games for the nationally-ranked men’s lacrosse team, Shand is fourth on the team with 27 points and second with 17 assists. The NE-10 Rookie of the Week on March 26, Shand recorded eight assists against Dominican, most ever by a Merrimack freshman and second-most in school history. A history major, Shand is a part of a team that was ranked third nationally in early April, its highest national ranking ever.
Last year’s winner was Chris Barnhart (Longmeadow, MA) from the men’s tennis team.
