Merrimack Superstars: The Showdown

NORTH ANDOVER, MA – The first-ever Merrimack Athletics Superstars Challenge can be viewed at www.merrimackathletics.com.

July 28- Mile Run

July 30- 3-point shootout

Aug 2- Push up challenge

Aug 4- Hardest shot

Aug 6- Closest to the pin

Aug 9- Home Run Derby

Aug 11- Obstacle Course

Aug 13 - THE SHOWDOWN!

The Superstars Challenge consists of eight student-athletes, one from each male intercollegiate sport at Merrimack, who will compete in seven different events requiring strength, speed, agility, and adaptability.

Representatives from the women's teams will compete in Superstars next summer.

The events include the mile run, three-point shoot-out, push-up challenge, hardest lacrosse shot, closest to the pin golf contest, homerun derby and an obstacle course.  

At the end of each event players finishing in the top four will receive points, (1st place- 7 pts, 2nd place- 4 pts, 3rd place- 3 pts, 4th place- 1 pt). For the obstacle course, points will be doubled. The athlete with the most points at the end will be declared the first-ever winner.
