THIRTEEN WARRIORS GARNERED PERFECT 4.00 GPAs; 234 POSTED 3.0 OR BETTER IN FALL 2013
NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Northeast-10 Conference announced its Fall 2013 Commissioner’s Honor Roll, and over 230 Merrimack College student-athletes were among the conference’s list of top academic representatives who posted a 3.0 or better grade-point average last semester, as announced by the league Thursday.
Among an impressive group of 3,267 (or approximately 58 percent) of all Northeast-10 student-athletes who posted a GPA of 3.0 or higher, Merrimack boasted 234 total student-athletes to hit that academic mark in the fall semester, continuing the Athletic Department’s tradition of excellence both in the classroom and on the playing field.
These student-athletes were honored in a ceremony during the men's hockey game on March 1.
Thirteen Warriors posted perfect 4.0 GPA’s in the fall, while 96 more boasted marks between 3.50 and 3.99, and 125 others were between the 3.00 and 3.49 margin.
The Northeast-10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll (CHR) recognizes the conference’s student-athletes for their achievements within the classroom. To be eligible for selection, a student-athlete must have met and or exceeded a minimum 3.0 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) for the fall semester.
Among those honored, 120 student-athletes posted perfect 4.0 grade point averages, and nearly 42 percent of the 3,267 posted a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
The announcement comes on the heels of the league announcing its Fall Academic All-Conference Teams from earlier this week.
